Update: I contacted to the seller by email and they sent me a new product. This time works perfectly. Previous review: I recently needed to use the product for the first time, but unfortunately it does not work at all. The device does not power on or show any sign of operation. I tested it on four different computers, and it did not work on any of them. I also asked a friend who owns the same Zoweetek reader and has a working unit to help me test and troubleshoot it. Even with his assistance, we were unable to get the device I purchased to work. Based on these tests, it appears that the unit I received is defective.

Not Plug and Play & Not DOD CAC Military Compatible
I bought this for my MacBook Air and ended up buying a different CAC reader that was actually plug and play & compatible with DOD Army CAC. Don't waste your time or money with this card reader. Buy the SCR3310v2.0 USB Smart Card Reader.
