The tear shape makes easy to get under the eye and in between the nose. It is a little smaller and thinner than most, and the outer edge has a very short trim so it won't scratch you like the others do. I followed the instruction to dab the foundation on my face instead of rubbing it, and it was a perfect look with very little amount of my foundation!!Just tossed my other sponge out, because this is the only one I need! I tried a couple of different ones before trying this one, and this was by far the best. The shape is far better than others I tried. The edges on outer lining were neatly and evenly trimmed. There is not as much excess material on the edges, which makes it easier to clean. Most importantly, there was no nasty chemical-smelling residue. The glitter is pretty, too.
