I am using this to track my battery's voltage, especially when using something I bought that can charge my battery without the engine running. The only thing bad I have to say about this really is that I wish it had gotten here sooner or that I'd've ordered it sooner... I'd ordered it on a hunch that my battery was low on health, and, lo and behold, it died (WHILE MY STUFF WAS STILL SHIPPING!!). Thankfully, a campus cop used some awesome device to give my battery enough juice, and so here I am today.I use this nifty little gadget in combination with the  Bestek 7.5-amp 12V cigarette to 100V-240V AC/DC adapter  and the  ACDelco Plug-2-Go car-to-car battery charging system . The volt-meter plays an important role - making sure a solid connection is maintained, ensuring the charger is working and charging my vehicle, and informing me when I have charged the battery as much as I can. And I think it does a darn good job of it. Watching my voltage to see if it's still charging is especially important, as the charger is a loose fit in both the car lighter socket and the Bestek 12V adapter. (It is also important to note that this voltometer is the exact same as the  Neewer voltage gauge , which is currently selling for cheaper with Super Saver Shipping {I had my eye on the Neewer one, but it went out of stock when I'd gathered enough money to buy all this. ePathDirect's was the next-cheapest. Another identical one, also by ePathDirect, was 3¢ more.}.) This meter is branded on the package by Dr.CAR.As far as overall quality goes, I am mildly-but-pleasantly surprised. It comes in actual packaging instead of a bag, and the packaging has more specs and a little guide on the back. The English is slightly odd, but I had no problems understanding the message. The measuring range is 8V-30V±1.2%. That means the difference between what the voltage actually is and what the meter shows could be anywhere between 0.096V-0.36V off; however, you'll mostly be dealing with voltages between 11.6V-14.8V, which means it can be off from 0.1V-0.2V from the readout. That's accurate enough for me, especially when asking $7. So accuracy is more than decent enough for the vast majority of people. Build quality is middle-of-the-road, but better than I'd expected. It's solid enough. I don't plan on dropping it on concrete, so the plastic is fine. And it remains firmly in the socket maintaining a solid connection, without being overly-difficult to pull out. And the price for this is spectacular.Overall, I am thoroughly satisfied with my purchase. I recommend this highly, and suggest you get a battery-charging device and a home plug-to-12V cigar adapter that's 5 amps or higher to really make it worth your while. I will update this review on occasion to show how it holds up over time. Sometimes when I start the car with the meter in the jack, the display will only show a single random digit, and the other two digits will be blank. However, this is easily fixed by unplugging it and re-inserting it. Because fixing this is really simple, my review will stay at 5 stars. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cheaply Build, but gets the job done! *by D***D on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on April 6, 2013* Given the low price this sells for, I wasn't expecting much, but then again, I didn't need much.I have a second, dual battery on my pickup that is isolated when the ignition is off, and I run several things off of it, and just wanted a cheap and easy way to keep any eye on the voltage, and this gets that job done.The construction feels cheap. In fact, the little screw part on the end you put in the socket, that you would normally unscrew to change the fuse, is made of plastic even (except for the electrically conducting tip). Don't recall ever seeing any type of thing you insert into this type of socket not being metal for that part. So with that in mind, I wouldn't expect it would stand up to a whole lot of taking it out and putting it back in repeatedly. If you're going to stick it in and leave it, it will probably be ok.The LED display is red, and I was worried it might be too bright, given the socket I was putting it in is on top of the dash, I was concerned it might be distracting at night. I was pleased to find this was not the case. It's just bright enough, and not too bright.As I said, it's cheap to purchase, it's cheaply built, but it gets the job done if you're just going to stick it in and leave it. With that in mind, I'm pretty happy with the purchase. I might even have went 5 stars instead of 4 if that aforementioned part had been metal instead of plastic, which is the weak point on this item, in my opinion.
