This issue, I would imagine, would certainly have to do with the power of your microwave. For me, it took about 3 minutes to get the wax melted. Not a problem. As most folks have described, the product can be messy, but that's with anything, you just need to slow down and take your time to dip the application sticks in the wax, and twirl to avoid that waxy spider web. Also, after applying it, the directions stated to leave it on the skin for up to 30 seconds....personally, that was too long for me, I only needed about 15 to 20 seconds, and WOW! This product delivered! I was totally impress with how easily the wax removed the hairs from my ear and nose area. I applied this about two weeks and I don't see hyde, nor hair (no pun intended) of any nose/ear hair growing back just yet. It does remove coarse hair, but it needs to be a little long and it doesn't last 6 weeks, it's more like a week and then hair starts growing back.
