## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can I add water to it?**
A: After taking out the silver clay from the package, the first thing I would like you to do is store the remaining silver clay. Take out as much silver clay as you need. Wrap the remaining silver clay tightly with double wrap and store it in an airtight container (such as a silver clay package or a plastic bag with a zipper).
During the production, I will make it while adding water frequently. Here, we will introduce "points to add water", "correction of cracks", and "re-kneading the clay" in the process of "stretching the silver clay into a string".
"Point to add water"
1 Spread the clay into a string.
2 As you stretch the clay, the surface becomes whitish.
3 When the clay surface becomes whitish, stop the "stretching" process and add a small amount of water.
*If you add too much water, the clay will become sticky and stick to your fingers, making it difficult to work with. In that case, let it dry naturally for a while, and continue working after the moisture on the surface of the clay has dried as shown in the photo above.
"Fixing cracks"
1 For small cracks, wet the surface of the clay with water and rub it with your finger.
2 If there is a large and deep crack, re-knead the clay.
3 Place the clay on the double layer of plastic wrap and add a few drops of water (enough to moisten the surface of the clay).
4 Wrap the clay in plastic wrap and rub the clay well to soften it.
"Re-kneading Clay"
1 Place the silver clay in the center of the double layer of plastic wrap.
2 Add a few drops of water (enough to wet the surface of the clay).
* If you add too much water and the clay becomes sticky, leave it for a while to evaporate the water.
3 Wrap the silver clay in plastic wrap and rub the silver clay well to soften it.

**Q: Can you use a torch?**
A: you must use a torch with art clay. if you want to kiln fire i suggest you try PMC. fire instructions are included in a packets. have fun. loriB LABcreations

**Q: Can i bake this in the oven**
A: Not unless your oven can get to 1400F.

You can torch fire it or pop it in a kiln though.

**Q: Can anyone comment on how well this metal resists tarnishing?**
A: It’s.999 silver and does not tarnish

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great quality silver metal clay!
*by K***T on 4 January 2026*

I received this as a gift for Christmas and have since repurchased twice myself as this silver clay is very good quality. As a complete novice it can be tricky to work with on first try but works great once you’ve got the hang of it and make sure you’re not letting it dry out (which can happen quickly). When I’m sanding down my dried finished product before firing, I make sure to keep the dust/ shavings, which I’ve used to make silver paste for repairs, details and filling in cracks. It does feel quite expensive to be spending around £30 for such a small pieces of clay but I’ve mainly been making rings with this and can typically get around 3 rings out of a 10g pack depending on the size/ detail which is great value and the finished rings are incredibly good quality and super sturdy when formed and fired correctly :)
