Agricola: 5-6 Player Extension

I host a small gaming group which meets once or twice a week. We are all enthralled by the revised version of Agricola, which constitutes a considerable improvement regarding obtaining food and additional family members. However, it is only for up to four players -the original version is for up to five players - so the expansion is most welcome, especially since it makes the game even better.

This is my favorite game of all time. This expansion is somewhat necessary as the meeples from just base game are a little bit scarce. Hey also new cards and more players!

Unless you have a super hardcore gaming group of friends it's hard to get 5+ people together for a game like this. Worth it when you do though. Expansion doesn't really add anything as far as changing gameplay goes, just some more occupation and improvement cards, as well as another gameplay board attachment and player pieces of course.

I used to play the old version of agricola. The base game played 5. It's nice to have 6, but the initial actions are pretty busy in content. I dont recommend playing 6 with a group of mostly newbies.

This extension is great because we want to play with more than 4 people! The game play with 5 or 6 people really changes the game and it’s a lot more competitive. However, I wish they would include more reed. As it is, we almost always run out of reed when we play with 5 or 6 people. Also, the green color for the player kind of blends in to the farm board. But that’s not a huge deal. But the reed thing is really annoying and that’s why I leave 4 stars instead of 5.

Have enjoyed the first edition for years. Went missing during our recent move, so bought 2nd edition. Wife and I love playing any chance we get.

Agricola plays very well with 5 or 6 players
