They can handle the weight. This product doesn't disappoint. I was so stressed to find out, one fateful night, that I had bed bugs. Bitten... So being one to not do things halfway, I disposed of all my bedding, etc. and because I live in an apartment where some management doesn't take me seriously, I had to prove I had bed bugs. The pest control dogs sniffers didn't detect anything, and I followed all the rules about their presence being in the building that day, routine, no scents etc. ... Anyway, I put these traps down so I could have evidence of outbreak of bedbugs and sure enough several were trapped in this product akmost immediately, from practically microscopic to large in your face....I will continue to use them with my new bed, along with other precautions, as I never know if they will reinvest after one treatment.
