I play six to eight games a day five days a week and I typically chalk up every one or two shots and it never seems to wear down; Probably could go longer in between chalking without too many issues. [For reference, I am an APA SL4 -- not great player but I do ok...I miss my share of shots but it is rarely due to miscues. Point being that on average I take a fair amount of shots per game so I chalk up a lot.] It doesn't leave very much residue on the cue ball outside of a hard break and the cloth stays clean longer.
