I've not seen any improvement on my range, stability or quality of the feed from the drones camera to the controller. The ease of installing it...was not easy...it was (in my opinion) a major undertaking, not one that I would have engulfed on had I known what I was getting in to. Opening the controller completely, drilling holes, re-running wires...definitely not a simple add-on!
