That’s where it will seep in even in a light drizzle in a 30 minute setting. The rating number can be as low as 2,000 MM to up to 40,000MM and they test this in a tube and how low it takes water to penetrate the fabric. Most jackets at the price point have low water rating anywhere from 2,000 to 5,000 mm and none of them have taped or fully taped seams. Without that information, waterproof in a description without those specs mentioned are useless. **Q: How many pockets does this jacket have?** A: Just got the jacket today.
