Yesterday I read this second volume and I happily say the story is still perfect. I think it is getting to be my favorite manga ever. About the translation of these masters editions (although I don't know the previous ones) I love the character is "Kirii" instead of "Killy," makes me feel less guilty about not knowing Japanese to read this manga in its original language. Usually in science fiction stories the writers tend to introduce explanations for the reader, it is useful but many times it can look artificial. In Blame! instead there are few clues, everything is shown and is enigmatic. The detail of architecture is awe-inspiring, expressing the quality of Tsutomu Nihei as a visionary architect. The design of creatures and the proportions of the different humans are great, there are beings of terrible appearance as persons of the uttermost beauty. The story feels quite real, no life seems granted and, to be honest, this world is one in which all has been lost. All has been already destroyed, not by evilness but simply by a terrible mistake, as those satellites that explode because the manufacturer used a diferent metric system to the software engineers. It's just perfect. I enjoy the side and main story lines quite a lot.
