Though I can tie the single strand of the broken red strip to the loop of the red strip at the opposite end and cinch it almost closed, but not all the way like I would be able to if I were tying two unbroken loops. Update: I no longer have a problem with the red tape breaking. When cinching up the ends of the red tape, the bag doesn't close all the way, like a traditional brand does.
