The scissors work and are sharp. There is some lubricating oil on them, which I have to remember to wipe off the blades since it might stain whatever I am going to cut. I presume the oil is on there because the scissors parts are tightly screwed together and the oil helps them to glide apart well. The tape measure, however, is quite the opposite -- the inches side seems to be quite off -- something that is 9 inches long seems to be 7 inches long on THIS particular tape measure! To prevent any future measuring mistakes since I am in the USA and I mainly measure in inches, I am immediately tossing it into the trash. But, I didn't buy this pack for the tape measure.
