You can disable and enable the sensor's alert from the App, but it is not fully turned off, if you disabled the alert, it will not send alert message or trigger off the alarm, you still can check the history of records through the app. Thanks! **Q: There is a delay when using this to turn on third party switch. Is there a work around?** A: If you use the Alexa routine to integrate third party switches, normally it should take less than 1 second when the motion is detected and the action to turn on the switch. Will the app allow me to silence 1 sensor when that unit is occupied?** A: Yes, with the new update that came out a couple weeks ago you can now have separate alarm strategies for each device. I use an iPhone So you could have one alarm strategy named un occupied and another named occupied. Then just change the strategy for the one(s) that are occupied. **Q: Would a ceiling fan set the motion sensor off, making it signal that there is motion in room, even though no person is in room?** A: I have several in my house, garage and barn. The one at the front door sends notification of visitors and turns on lights. The one in the barn just turns on two sets of lights. These sensors have different levels of sensitivity settings that I had to experiment with to get it to works the way I wanted it to. Try one and if the fan sets it off try moving it or adjusting the sensitivity levels. You will also need a YoLink hub for all you sensors and switches. This is another great product of theirs. Simple to install, great battery life and does a great job of what it’s supposed to do. Best thing is the long range. No more worrying about whether your Wi-Fi signal is going to be strong enough, YoLink products use LORA, which is a low frequency, long range radio wave system that gives up to 1/4 mile range. I have YoLink sensors as far as 800’ from my hub and no problem. With the 40 or so YoLink sensors I have, I’ve had to deal with YoLink tech support a few times and have always found them to be over-the-top excellent in their response, even going so far as to send me replacements as long as several years after my purchase. I’m an electrical engineer with a specialty in digital communication and I design radio frequency communication products among other things.
