The peppery, lemon flavor is so strong and acidic that I cannot suck on these tablets. I chew them quickly and then follow up with two Tums to counteract the acid. Although the label doesn't say time release, I have slept through the night the ten nights or so that I've taken these. Even with them, I still wake up at least once to use the bathroom. The difference is that I go right back to sleep. Without them, I lay awake for a couple hours in the middle of the night. If they weren't so acidic, I would've given them five stars. As other insomniacs know, it's hard to find anything that actually works.
