When I opened the box everything in the package is new and does not have a warning sticker telling me that this barcode is not to be sold or use outside of China like the first one. Everything works the way it should be and this seller sells the real thing not the smuggled ones from China. The seller gets five stars and the product also gets five stars too. So far this replacement is holding up. I would say the scan range is up to about 2 feet away.
