I tossed the grip from a gen 3 S&W with the gun separately and they curled up slightly. I was able to get them back to a decent shape with hoppes. Temperature may be the key element for polymer from what I take, I never went past 64°c **Q: Is the cleaner safe for jewellery including those with diamonds?** A: Yes, it is. Use the basket. **Q: Can I drop my whole gun in there?** A: Yes, you can drop your whole gun in there. I wouldn't do that, but you can. I've found it best to break the gun down and then put it in the solution in order to get the best cleaning possible. **Q: Can I use it for gold jewelry??** A: I did on spouses wedding/engagement rings. Clean debris of quickly. Saw no adverse effect on stones or metal. Did the same thing on her turquoise and silver brooches.
