Will these actually hatch and turn into moths in the house??

Yes they will hatch into moths. But you wouldnt want to leave them laying around the house. They are very small and once they start jumping you would loose them. We would take ours out of the box to observe them and watch them jump and have races; after that we would put them back in their box. Once they hatched we released them outdoors. Please dont let the hatxhing part detour you. These are kind of magical, educational and fun!

can these survive in hawaii? and can they be shipped here?

Do I leave the beans in their original container?

I left them in there and they died relatively quickly. Possibly better to put them in a better container

What the life span of these jumping beans ?

After some reading, seems the beans drop from trees in May and if properly taken care of, they may last quite awhile before they die or hatch. As this is Nov. 2019, are there some still working or is it better to wait till next May after the 2020 seed drop??
