Not ever having a shade sail, I was a little weary so the plan was to ease into our project with a small purchase first and then upgrade later. We measured our area and ordered two sails. Of course they arrived right away. They feel very "plasticy", and I knew they would based on other reviews, however once up they work and look amazing! We erected two 10' wooden 4x4 posts in the ground and attached between that and the house. We bought our hardware locally. We made sure to allow extra room between our connection points for stretch. This was the hardest part trying to position all the connection points for a good taught tightness between the the sides. Our goal was to get the western sun/heat off the front door. This was accomplished with our project. In hind site I would have ordered a little larger to gain a bit more shade. We put up two triangles red & green and the neighbors all think they compliment our house and decor!
