This fully adjustable, 100 Lumen CREE LED waist light is powered by 3 AA Energizer batteries located in the external battery pack (batteries included). Because it was my first night time trail race, I wanted a lot of light. In addition to the 100 lumens this light provides, I had two 45 lumen knuckle lights. I have two basic issues with this lamp.1) On the Nathan Marathoner Hydration pack, the light attaches too close to where the water tube's magnetic catch is, which prevents the lamp from pointing directly forward. Your mileage may vary, but for me, this lamp pointed was pointing too far to the right to be helpful. It lit the forest next to the path I was running on, but not the ground directly in front of me.2) I'm not sure that I will attempt to fix this for future runs, because the second issue was the amount of light. A single 45 lumen knuckle light seemed to put out much more light than the 100 lumen GoMotion.The integrated rear blinker is a nice touch, especially for road running.
