Product Description This fan can exhaust the fan in both directions. Plug in the power and pull the cord for the first time, the exhaust fan will run and exhaust the outside. The second time you pull the cord, the fan will reverse and draw fresh air into it. The third time you pull the cord, the fan will stop and close the louvers. I added a simple l-shaped aluminum bracket and now have this secured in my window where its pull cord, allows you to blast extra air in, or expel air out. Clue. it i better to expel the warm air. I have it plugged into a remote control socket so it works at the touch of a remote. Edit. This is 16 months later, and i feel like i want to give this another star, 5 stars aren't enough for the relief provided by this fan. I had another fan where the motor unit was separate from the vent, and where to reverse the airflow you have to disconnect the hose and physically turn the motor around. This for the price is incredible. As well as easily changing the direction of the airflow, it will also close the vent in its 3rd position.

A great little device. I added a simple l-shaped aluminum bracket and now have this secured in my window where its pull cord, allows you to blast extra air in, or expel air out. Clue. it i better to expel the warm air. I have it plugged into a remote control socket so it works at the touch of a remote. Edit. This is 16 months later, and i feel like i want to give this another star, 5 stars aren't enough for the relief provided by this fan. I had another fan where the motor unit was separate from the vent, and where to reverse the airflow you have to disconnect the hose and physically turn the motor around. This for the price is incredible. As well as easily changing the direction of the airflow, it will also close the vent in its 3rd position.

Seems very good fan, a bit noisy , it does not have electronic shutter. Time will tell how long it last.
