I do not understand my experience at all - installed the included mantles the proper way and upon lighting(by match because the lighter takes 5-10 strikes) the lantern - both mantles immediately sheared off just under string tie. Thinking this was a fluke, purchased Co**man mantles and installed them. Lighting and burning lantern for about 30 min. I now have a split in one of the new mantles.
