This is a great well made cool book. I only saw one recipe that was gross and that was literally the point. The pages have little blurbs of the characters talking about the recipe on the page, which is associated with their character. The one gross recipe called yeeargh on toast literally has a blurb from Finn that says “Okay! So I tried making this recipe. Turns out that “yeeargh” is the noise I made upon soiling my taste palace (aka mouth) with this goo! THIS IS NOT FOR EVERY PALATE DUDES.” As for the recipes, there are very few super simple “kid” recipes. And they still look good. If I had to put a number to it, I’d say it’s like MAYBE 80% normal recipes, and 20% simple recipes. People complaining about a tiny portion of this cook book being too simple for adults, are ridiculous. Adventure Time is for children too. Don’t listen to the butthurt adults that clearly barely read the cookbook. TLDR Everything the other reviews are complaining about, is them hilariously throwing a fit and blowing tiny details out of proportion that make up a very small portion of the book, because they clearly skimmed the pages. The complaints make no sense. Ignore them. This is a great cook book and collectors item, with so much personality and commentary from the characters, and great recipes.
