I mounted the sensor on the shady side of a fence to keep the temperature reading from soaring on a sunny day. It's been a rainy year and we did have some snow. I haven't seen any deterioration of performance. I occasionally check the temperature against the Weather Service temperature, and they are consistently no more than 1 degree apart. It's hard to check the outdoor relative humidity readings, but they seem logical. **Q: What is the min. & max. I looked at lots of options from those things that need wifi down to the old black/white displays that just have a simple sensor outside. I chose this great model because I have used La Crosse products for years and thing they are very durable and reliable. This particular model has a super clear, color-coded interface that shows me all of the important details at just the right size and emphasis on the screen. So far things look to be super accurate and always updating with moon phase, upcoming weather, current pressure w/history, time/date of course, humidity and temp in and out. The only think I wish this had was a display on the outside unit, just for convenience, so keep that in mind if that is a sticking point for you. Also note that to get all of these super colorful displays, you need to plan to plug this up on the wall.
