This stand elevates the degree of slant to a perfect typing height. Also, I like the pad that keeps the computer from sliding off the stand. My computer edges are a little sharp and now the pad keeps them from rubbing my wrist as I use the touch pad. The stand also pivots which comes in handy also. My husband says just another gadget, but it is so much more useful and I have enjoyed using it already. Hopefully the elevation will also help the heat problem I have been having with my computer. I can feel that the heat is escaping more easily with the elevation vs. sitting on a flat surface and no fan noise or cords connecting the fan to my computer. yahoo! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works fine *by S***7 on December 4, 2017* It's a little funky but we wanted both a slant to the laptop and some ventilation so this works. We like that we can adjust the amount of the slant. We removed the swivel wheel from the bottom so the overall stand isn't quite so high off the desk and it also seems more stable. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ In use for almost 2 years running now *by G***N on July 27, 2019* I must say, this stand has served me well for my 13" Apple MBPro and a couple 11.6" Samsung ChromeBooks. I tried to make use of the swivel plate but it just didn't grow on me so I eventually took it off 1 year into its life. This has good adjustment levels depending on the laptop's size and remains firmly in place. Also, it got plenty of space underneath for airflow and circulation which theoretically helps with cooling/ventilation. The only drawback that I am dealing with this product is its rather narrow width. I wish it's at least a third or half an inch wider on either side to better "catch" the device in place.
