This is due to the shape of my dashboard and the fact that the reflective material cuts out too much light (from outside) in darkness. So it is now at a safe level so I can see people at zebra crossings etc . The display works absolutely brilliantly and I've set it to change to "speed / fuel usage only" when doing over 50 mph .
