Thanks to Amazon I tried 7 devices, 3 of them twice (giving them second chances). They all had some problems: ports not working, Device Manager reporting Code 41 (Unknown USB Device Link in Compliance Mode) or Code 47 (Windows cannot use this hardware device), and the most egregious - poor power management: computer cannot be shut down, sleeping computer cannot be awaken, computer requires "double shut down", computer never goes to sleep.This marvel doesn't add any new devices to the list of Device Manager, no undesirable side effects, all ports work as described.More to that. I went through all reviews and complains have been fixed: it fits nicely into allocated space ( there were complains it's too wide), markings fixed (USB3.0 instead of USB1 and USB2).It matches exactly my front panel, not only a color but even a texture the same. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works! *by K***R on July 19, 2020* This USB 3.0 port addition to the front of my tower PC works (so far). I haven't had a chance to determine any speed difference relative to my rear USB 3.0 ports (faster would be nice, but not expecting it). Remember, you need a USB 3.0 connector on your motherboard. Having the 2 USB 3.1 connectors might come in handy, later. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works great, but fits a bit too snug. *by J***X on June 12, 2019* My tower computer had USB (1.1) ports on the top, THE TOP, what a terrible place for it. I really needed the front mounted USB, and why not go up to the current 3.0/3.1c standard.This works perfect!! High data transfer speeds on all ports (tested with hard drives, and android phones).My only minor complaint is that it didn't quite fit in the mounting bracket I had. I actually put it in a 5" slot, and found that it didn't quite fit my converter bracket. I thought the bracket was the problem at first, but just tried fitting an old 3.5" floppy drive and found that worked fine. So the USB Panel hub was just a bit too big. The fitting problem came from the plastic plate at the front, by shaving it down just a tiny bit on each side it fit into my bracket with no further trouble. I did not have to shave down the top or bottom.This will vary from computer to computer, but the USB 3.0 plug in on my computer was very difficult to reach. I ended up having to take out a hard drive to plug in the cable then put the hard drive back in. Not a problem with this product, but it is something to be aware of. Look into your rig before you purchase one of these.
