**Q: Can someone tell me how wide the braided strips are o the finished product?  (Not including the strip of border)**
A: Each braid is about 6.5" wide, without any borders.  I used 6 or them along with the recommended number and width of borders and made 100x101 " wide King size quilts (2 of them).

**Q: how many different color fabrics does this pattern require?**
A: I used around 10 different shade to make this quilt. My granddaughter wanted a purple quilt so I used various shades of purple to complement one another. All in a preference you are looking for. The pattern will give you some examples. Good  luck and happy sewing.

**Q: Where can I buy the pattern swirrly stars by elenor burns**

**Q: how big is the template?**
A: The template is 2 1/2" wide.  It is angled on the end, so the short end is about 4" and the longer end is about 6 1/2".
