My daughter says they are comfortable and she was able to skate normally in them. We haven't had to use the adjustable size feature yet, so we'll see how that works out next winter. She loves the design and look of them.Only complaint is the top buckle doesn't always stay down, but it's not a constant problem. The adjustable part is a little hard to move but once locked in place it stays there. So it's not like the kid can mess about with it or that it can slip while she is skating.probably not a skate for serious sports but for casual skater it works fine. I purchased this seeing good reviews online for my 6 year old daughter whose skate size is about "3" and that these were adjustable between the size of 2-5 which seemed like a great option.When the shipment arrived - One of the skates was stuck at "2" and would not budge I requested for replacing these. In the meantime at a local Modell's store I checked out the same skates and two separate sets of skates had the same issue. Both had problem with the right skates.
