I wouldn't call the top a cutting board even though it's probably fine to use as one. It's not real wood, maybe bamboo is just that way but it's a nice table overall and built sturdy. I wish there were wheels on all 4 legs, though because you find yourself always wanting to move the table over here and there but you have to lift one end to do that and it's always the OTHER end from where you're standing. It is very sturdy as well.Negative: the leg came cracked-see picture attached. Also, the two silver shelves come with a plastic protective cover. This is great but at the edges, it was difficult to remove (see picture attached).
