Getting more and more difficult to convince it to work. But our tolerance for frustration was higher! Eventually it simply refused to dispense its water in either form. So, I looked on line, found a great video that shows how to replace the switch. Found the switch on the Sears Parts site for about $35 plus $20 for shipping for ONE simple switch. Seemed outlandish. It was. This little gem cost me $8.00 for 2 (two count em two!!) and free shipping. It took ten minutes to install - mostly because I wanted to preserve the slide connectors so I was very patient pulling them off - and it works perfectly. Plus I have a spare!! Now I wonder why was I so reluctant to fix this? Ignorance is not bliss.
