Replace the 3/8" and 1/4" socket set with these? Doesn't look like it would address 1/2" sockets. Or only for special jobs?

From what material are the wrenches made? Are they appropriate for a maritime environment?

They are corrosion resistant but with enclosed moving parts, I wouldn't use them around seawater without thorough regular oiling.

These are GREAT!

These wrenches are very handy, and they grip the flats of the fastener tightly, preventing deformation or rounding that might occur from other wrenches. If you can only have one set of wrenches, get conventional combo wrenches with a box end and an open end. But if you need a bigger arsenal of tools to get the job done, these are very nice.
