It says they may contain milk?? Then it’s not vegan!! How is it labeled vegan?!** A: The chocolate chips are not vegan. I would go to the Larabar official website to look over the different kinds available before ordering if you want to ensure you get a vegan bar. I can eat it, but it has a strong cinnamon taste and I was hoping for more apple taste. If cinnamon and spice is your thing, go for it. Blueberry Muffin (See UPDATE) - good, four stars. I didn't really like this at first, but it is my go-to one for breakfast now. I drink it with a glass of milk and really enjoy it. It is less sweet than some others and that's why I like it for breakfast. Cashew Cookie - eh, three stars. I love cashews but this bar is a little bland. It doesn't have a strong cashew taste, and I mostly just taste dates. Don't get me wrong, I like dates. But this flavor isn't anything special to me. Cherry Pie - good, four stars. This bar has a nice tart cherry flavor and is balanced well with the sweetness from the dates. Really tasty. Chocolate Chip Brownie: great, five stars. This one is different from most of the others in that it has cocoa powder and chocolate chips. So, if you love chocolate, try this flavor. It also has walnuts and almonds, which I believe the walnuts makes it stand since walnuts aren't found in many other Larabars. Chocolate Chip Cherry Torte - great, five stars. This is similar to the cherry pie flavor but is less tart because the sweetness from the chocolate chips neutralizes the tangy cherries. This is considered a dessert one for me because it is so sweet. Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough - heavenly, five stars. This one is amazing. I don't know how they do it, but the chocolate chips in this one are melty to give it that gooey cookie dough texture. Because of the sweetness, this one makes me feel icky if I eat it for breakfast, so it is definitely a dessert one for me. Coconut Cream Pie - Great, 5 stars. This one reminds me of a macaroon. It has ample amounts of coconut which gives it a strong but not overpowering coconut flavor. The texture is not really smooth as there are actual coconut flakes throughout the bar. If you're picky about texture, this one may not be for you. Personally, I really enjoy the almost crunchy flakes and think it makes this bar stand out. Key Lime Pie - eh, three stars. I was hoping this one would have a lime kick but was sorely disappointed. I mostly tasted dates while the lime flavor was weak. If you're sensitive to lemon/lime flavors, this may be just right for you. If you're like me, however, and enjoy stronger citrus flavors, I would pass. Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip - great, five star. It is peanut butter and chocolate. I mean, of course it is going to be good. I will say that I wish the peanut butter flavor was a little stronger. The texture is a little chunky with pieces of peanut throughout which I like. Peanut Butter Cookie- good, four stars. This one is the same as Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip but without chocolate chips. The reason I deducted one star is because the peanut butter flavor standing alone seems bland. It isn't very strong. But still, a good bar. So, that's all for now. I will update as I try more flavors. And one note on people complaining about sugar content. The sugars come straight from the fruit in the bars except for the ones with chocolate chips which do contain added sugar in the chips. UPDATE 07/04/2017: After two years, I'm still a Larabar fan, but I have a few things to add. #1 I no longer order the blueberry muffin flavor from Amazon because I've had two boxes spoil prematurely before the expiration date. The individual packages swelled almost to the point of bursting and the taste/smell seemed fermented. I thought the first time it must have been a bad batch, but after the second time Amazon refunded me the money after I told them the issue. I assume these aren't being stored properly, and while I no longer order this flavor, all the other flavors have been fine. #2 I would change the Peanut Butter Cookie flavor from 4 stars to 5 stars. I eat it every morning with a glass of milk for breakfast, and it's great. #3 The flavors I buy consistently are the peanut butter cookie, peanut butter chocolate chip, and the chocolate chip brownie.
