If you want to use a cone filter for a single cup, and want it to trickle through the grounds very slowly, then don't buy this one - get a small one-hole cone filter. I, however, like a slightly larger cone that can take either a #2 or #4 filter and can work with my travel mug. And I don't want to wait forever for it to finish draining 16 or 20 ounces. This will still make strong coffee - all depends on the amount and type of grounds you use and how you pour the water into it. But the four-hole makes it work fast, which I love.This is also good for traveling and staying at hotels that don't have coffee makers. I bring a small electric water heater, this cone, filters, and fresh ground coffee in my suitcase (doesn't take that much room), and I have fresh brewed coffee every morning on the road without having to leave the hotel room. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good but with reserve. *by B***E on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on December 6, 2013* This coffee cone is larger than the standard #2 Melitta filter cone that I currently have. It works fine and the price is good but the top of a #2 filter is about a 1/2" from the top of the coffee filter cone. I am a little concerned that if I will pour in too much water into the grounds and filter that coffee grounds will overflow the coffee filter and go down the side of the cone giving me grounds in my coffee. However, it is well made, has a sturdy handle and is priced well. I just looked thru over 10 stores and the only filters I found were ceramic and cost well over $10. My mesh cone fits in it, my paper cones fit in it, it hangs with my mugs and I get encouraged to make a cup of tea now more often because I love my loose Chinese tea and it's a pain unless you have a streamlined way to make a quick cup. Living alone means coming up with easy ways to do little batches of food and drink.
