Ever since then any time I need a new carabiner I always go for the nite ize brand and especially this particular locking s-biner. It comes in a variety of sizes but the #4 size here I feel is a good size for the hand with lots of room for clipping. The lock is easy to use and open, hard to accidently unlock. It gives me piece of mind that my keys are staying in place clipped to a belt loop. I've found plenty of other uses for this particular clip though as I use them in varying sizes for even keychains on my bags and plush keychains. Any time a clip or carabiner is needed for something I always recommend this brand to my friends and family. I've bought plenty of these and I probably will buy more in the future too. Will the opening allow to fit it over a 1" bar?** A: The opening for this S-Biner is just barely an inch. It will not fit over a 1" bar. **Q: Are they magnetic? As in, will they stick to a magnet** A: A magnet will attach to them. They are not themselves magnetic. **Q: Is size 2 good as a key chain?** A: I love mine! It is a #2 and it has the locking feature. I had a few different sizes before the locking feature came out and I occasionally heard something drop. When it comes to keys, occasionally is too often! The locking feature is fabulous! I removed the lock on one end because I wanted to be able to clip it onto my purse, belt loop, etc. I don't like to loose my keys at the bottom of the purse, or set them down and possibly misplace them, so this has worked out wonderfully for me. I still use regular key loops to give me more space for keys, plus I can undo the lock and get my car keys off easily if I need to. I'll try to post a picture.
