Review: Best game ever made. - GTA5 is the best game ever. There I said it. I've played all the GTA's. I finished 1&2 on the computer a LONG time ago. GTA3 was revolutionary and finished that too. I finished Vice City. Then I got bored with the genre. I didn't get close with San Andreas, and I think I got 30% into GTA4 before I got bored and sold it. Red Dead Redemption was awesome (also by Rockstar) and only barely felt like I might play GTA5. Right on the pre-order deadline I decided to give it a shot. Right from the beginning, the game was the same, but somehow different. You could do all the same things, run, steal cars, shoot everything, escape the police, but you could do so much more. Swimming, boating, skydiving, stealing airplanes? Infiltrating a military base? Pop wheelies on motorcycles? Playing golf or tennis? These were some crazy additions. The other BIG change is playing as THREE characters. Just as I started getting used to playing as Franklin, you suddenly have to do a bunch of missions as Michael. Then they force you to play as Trevor for quite a while. It really keeps the game from getting dull or stale. More cut scenes than I remember, but the acting is pretty good. Well, it was entertaining for me at least. I finished the game, in about 100 hours just because I like doing other things BESIDES advancing the game. There is so much to do that isn't in the scope of the missions or advancing the storylines that most of the fun I had with the game wasn't in missions at all. The missions are fun, for sure, but trying to steal a tank, or stealing a fighter jet is a lot of fun too. Taking a dune buggy into the mountains to see how far/how many jumps you can do without killing yourself is fun also. And, in a holdover from Red Dead Redemption, hunting and killing cougars feels like vindication after all the times in RDR that they attacked me on my horse. In GTA5, they have a little trouble getting you when you are in a car. I hate those cougars. The ONLY con I have with the game, besides the amazing amount of time I used playing it, is all the swearing. Yes, I get that it's an M for Mature game. But about 80% of the game I could let my kids play if there wasn't swearing. They love flying helicopters and planes, driving as fast as they can down city streets, swimming under the water looking for treasure among other things. But with so much swearing, from passers-by, and the characters themselves just driving around, they have to do it with the sound turned all the way down. Which is a shame. Isn't all the dialog pre-recorded? I would hope for GTA6 they have a setting to blank out the swearing, or beep it, or change the dialog altogether with the "No swearing" checkmark is checked. Maybe I'm being a bit of a prude, but it was far from enjoyable listening to Lamar and Franklin overuse the "N-word" in all of their dialog. I get that it's part of the joke. That these characters are "over the top". I get it. But being able to turn it off would be nice. BTW, I had to sell my copy just so I wouldn't play it anymore. I've never "had" to sell a game so that I wouldn't play it anymore. I finished the game and would still spend hours doing things and exploring the world. It's a HUGE world. Playing GTA5 is way more fun than watching TV. It's like its own TV show that you control. Best game ever.
Review: Awesome open world game! Be aware of the content advisories everyone posts about! - This game will have you immersed into an open world (sandbox) style environment. There is so much to do in this game, and even when you don't know what to do, trouble will eventually find you to keep you busy. Countless hours will be invested into this game improving your characters' (you switch between 3 characters) ability. Pretty much every type of vehicle you can think of is available to use in this game. Cars, trucks, semis, pickups, limos, buses, fire trucks, ambulances, monster sized dump trucks, trains, planes, jets, motorcycles, personal water crafts, dinghies, speedboats, helicopters, tanks, army vehicles, bicycles, atv's, off-road vehicles, dune buggies, parachutes, vans, delivery trucks, armored security truck/vans, airport shuttle buses, 747 airplanes, and the list goes on... No matter what type of vehicle you are using, Rockstar has managed to perfect the ability to convey the feel that you are actually in that vehicle. This game is well thought out in terms of entertainment value as well as the storyline. Transitions between live play and the cinematic sequences are seamless. There is no loading the next zone or area to wait for. When you get into this game, you can find yourself playing for hours without realizing it. I cannot stress enough, to those not familiar just how much and noticeable some content that is usually objectionable. Over-the-top profanity, Nudity, sexual activities, drugs, criminal activity ranging from speeding to out right murder and assassinations. There is a strip club in the world in which you are able to interact with stripping women. You will become a drug running mule, interact with prostitutes and even commit arson. I'm not sure if they left any crime out of this game. Having the ability to separate reality from make-believe is essential. If you saw it in a game and think it might be a good idea to try after you turn off your console, maybe this game is not for you. There are no female characters in which to control (except if you play online and select to be female there). I suspect most females would find this game offensive to extreme. - Hours of content is about 100-150 hours - Re-playability - very high - Download Content - not yet available, much like GTA 4, they are much slower than should be for this. - Online content - works but the population (player participation) is low for online use and it continues to dwindle.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best GTA game so far!
*by R***Z on September 30, 2013*

Man, this game is great. I'm not gonna lie, when I first I played the game, I only did about 1 mission and messed around for the rest of the session and I Felt kinda underwhelmed, I can't really explain why, though. The next day I played the game again, I started to do more mission and more and more things started to unlock like Clothing stores, Properties etc... That's when I started to enjoy the game, because I could customize my characters and vehicles. 'Most' missions were great, the heist ones were amazing, GTA5 truly has the best missions out of all the GTA games that have been released so far. What really got me was the 'Little Things', The 'attention to detail', it's just mind blowing. For example, The GPS doesn't work when going through a tunnel, you could hear the vehicles cooling off sounds, when you turn them off, If you follow random female NPCs around the city they will sometimes get nervous, look over their shoulder, and start walking faster etc... There are way to many things for me to list. GTA5's world is the most alive city I have ever seen in any game before. If you just stand there you could hear birds singing, People walking by while talking on the phone or having a conversation with each other, Heli's and planes passing fly over you, the bass of music in random houses, shooting in other streets etc... Again, it's to much for me to list, here. The 3 characters are pretty good main characters, my favorite one is Michael, though a lot people prefer Trevor. 'Trevor' is just a psychopath, 'Michael' is a retired 'heister' (if that's even a word) with family problems and 'Franklin' is a guy whose trying to get out of the gang life and go for something bigger. The game looks better than the previous GTA game, you will probably be surprised by how good it looks for current gen consoles. Overall the game is amazing, and a big step up from GTA 4, I really recommend you buying this game.
