## Description

Product description Septi-Flow Shock septic drain field treatment was originally developed by Chevron ORTHO in the 1950s. Our product has shown that its powerful ingredients (a proprietary blend) of inert, waste/soap/detergent dissolving agents) are more than capable of tearing through even the worst septic drain field build-up of sodium, salts and phosphate buildup from detergents and soaps commonly used in septic systems. A small investment in our septic treatment products products can save you years and thousands of dollars in headaches down the road! Our septic system and leach field treatment works great for maintenance and the beginning stages of slowing and deadpan drain fields. Please note: This treatment will not work if your system is completely stopped! When Restoring a Very Soggy and Slow Failed Drain Field or Leach Field System: Easy-to-Use Directions: For Slow or Sluggish Drain Fields/Septic Tanks: Start with 4 gallons of product. we recommend pumping tank first to get the highest possible concentration of the product into the septic drainfield for treatment. Pour 2 gallons of product via the toilet, sink, drain, d-box, or tank opening then flush with water behind it. ▶ Next, additionally if the soil is visibly holding water on the surface use another 4 gallons of product as a surface treatment as follows. Use a very long 12+" screwdriver and poke holes about 6-10 inches down about 1 foot apart into the soil above the drain field. Apply a minimum of 2-4 gallons of product to the holes you have made. ▶For waterlogged systems;Dramatically reduce household water consumption. Try to drain off or septic pump out as much excess water as possible before treatment to increase concentration of product attacking the problem. If you cannot access the distribution or "D-Box," adding additional product via the toilet or sink may be necessary. SEPTI-FLOW SHOCK DIRECTIONS: An average 1,500 gallon septic tank (a 4/3 bed/bath house) start with 4 gallons of product. We recommend pumping the tank prior to treatment. Pour 2 gallons of Septi-Flow Shock into the toilet, tank, distribution box. After 1 week, add 2 more gallons of Septi-Flow Shock. Flush freely with water. Within 2-4 weeks you should see an improvement with the flow. If the septic is completely stopped this product WILL NOT work to address the issue. Salt/sodium/phosphate buildup from soaps, laundry/dishwasher agents, and water softeners (salt buildup) are one of many possible problems could be pipe collapse, roots, septic other potential problems. Indications Slow emptying or semi-backed up dain fields, completely stopped drain fields will not benefit from Septic Flow Shock as the chemical needs to get to the source of the problem (sodium and phosphgate buildup) to address it. Please do not purchase if your system is stopped completely or so slow that this reaction can not occur. P.when('A').execute(function(A) { A.on('a:expander:toggle_description:toggle:collapse', function(data) { window.scroll(0, data.expander.$expander[0].offsetTop-100); }); }); Directions 1- For optimal results for Septi-Flow Shock pump tank first. 2- Add 2-4 gals to an average 1500 gal septic tank. 3- Add to toilet, d-box, septic tank and/or drainfield holes. 4- Use as normal for 2 weeks. 5- Add additional 2-4 gals after 2 weeks of regular use. 6- Reaction should occur within 3-6 weeks of application. *** If tank is STILL slow or stopped many other issues could be attributed to slow septic lines such as broken pipes, tree roots, Biomat making its way into the septic field etc. Safety Warning Only apply Septi-Flow septic drain field repair to toilet OR outside septic drain field distribution box (d-box). Keep out of reach of children. See more

Review: Just thought I would provide another update and after 9 years my fields are still clear - I dump two gallons every six months into my last septic tank which gets pumped into the fields. (This is an updated review after 4 1/2 years - still using the product every 6 months and septic fields are still working great! As stated initially below, septic field failures are hard to diagnose. But once you get it cleared out, use this product to keep it clear.) It would be really hard to state that this item does or does not work. Septic field problems can be caused by so many different things as I have found out. When my fields failed, common sense told me that some liquid in a bottle was not going to fix my problem. I had my lines jetted first and then used a service that performs the "ground fracking" method to open clogged soil. Before they left they told me to use a product like this every 6 months to continually keep the soil conditioned. That was 2 1/2 years ago. My fields are still working and I cant tell for sure if this product works or doesn't. It was based on their recommendation. Since I haven't had any problems, I would say that it works. Most important thing I learned through this whole process - Do not run your water softener into your septic system!!!
Review: The three star rating is mostly based on the fact that if you don't read and figure out just how many of these you need to purchase to be used as designed you will be way short of what is required. Once I can order another 5 of these and apply as required I will do another review.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: What does Septi-Flow Shock do?**
A: Septi-Flow Shock Liquid helps chemically aid in reversing "deadpan" or "hard soil" that forms after years of sodium building up in the soil.

**Q: What will Septi-Flow not do?**
A: Septi-Flow Liquid Shock treatment must have water flow to work. It will not work if the soil is completely locked up! Septi Flow will not kill the microbes in your septic tank.

**Q: How do I know how much Septi-Flow Shock to use?**
A: The recommended amount depends on tank size. For most 1,000-1,500+ gallon tanks, add (One) four-gallon pack of Septi-Flow Shock. For slow/clogged systems due to sodium buildup it is best to pump first. For routine maintenance, pumping is not needed.

**Q: How long after treatment will I see results?**
A: We always recommend pumping your system (unless you are adding the product for maintenance purposes) before adding this product for the best result. Average results occur in 3-6 weeks, but we have seen improvements in 7-10 days.

**Q: How do I know this product is what my system needs?**
A: To know if Septi-Flow is right for your septic system the best step is having a septic professional assess it on-site. Even if you use Septi-Flow, we recommend pumping the tank first before treatment; unless you're adding it for routine maintenance.

Started working within a month! We had two experts out to see why our yard never dried out. Both said our septic system was working fine. Even with having the system pumped the yard would not dry up. One application of this and we already have noticed a major change for the better. We just bought a second bottle and hope our problems are behind us.
