How can this be extra thick if it's only 8mm?

It’s twice as thick as standard yoga mats also very spongy.

Complain not as described There is no strap to hold mat together. Or to help carry it when rolled up

Mine came with an elasticated strap, it was inside the rolled up mat.

It should arrive with one so ask the supplier to send you one.
