I have had to replace several parts on it, and have usually gotten Dyson original parts, except for the hose. We started buying generic replacements about 10 years ago and have had a couple of bad failures, but the last one we got was a good quality product that required some homemade fixes to fit properly. It lasted far more than I would have guessed at the time. All of that brings me to this product. It seems to me that they worked out all the kinks and have managed to produce a very decent replacement. The key part for a good suction fit is the clip. Their clip points out from the body of the connector and it fits great. The hose does not come off from the vacuum when using it extended. The inner circumference of the hose is bigger and the extension tube slides in without effort. The hose itself is flexible and seems to be of comparable quality to the original hose.
