3M MEDIPORE +PAD Soft Cloth Adhesive Wound Dressing

While other bandages don't stick, or they do but everyone in the family develops a rash from the material or the adhesive, these stay in place and provide the needed protection/coverage, and nobody develops a rash. The soft material allows full range of motion. We hardly notice the bandage is there. We ordered several sizes.

I recently had a total hip replacement, and after 7 days, these are the exact bandages that Kaiser Permanente sends you home with! These bandages stay put and definitely protect your incision! I wasn't sure how many bandages I would need, but most days I only changed once in the morning (shower time) and I used just short of one box! These are not waterproof and the adhesion was strong, but left no residue on my skin.

A couple reviewers have said these are waterproof. For those who are counting on that, know that the ones I bought in August 2017 are NOT WATERPROOF! These are excellent bandages. My husband had a plate and 8 screws put into his collar bone and we had to change the bandages daily for a couple weeks. I ordered these the day of his surgery, and they arrived a week later, so we were able to use them for the second week of his bandage changes (we used 3M gentle tape, non stick pads, and gauze for the first week while we waited for these to arrive). The island dressing bandages were very easy to use and covered my husband's huge incision perfectly. By the end of a week of use his skin was getting pretty sensitive to the constant change of adhesive, but there's not much you can do about that.

This was worth the cost to have the protection, comfort and coverage over a large surgery incision.

Very pleased to be able to purchase these exact same bandages that the clinic placed on my Husband's long incision. They stay in place so much better than others.

These wound dressings don't leave any sticky glue when removed. They protect really well and keep wound clean.
