I didn't really want to spend $30 on a tie for a 12 year old, so I checked Amazon. This was $7, pink & had Prime shipping. Done. The color pink I needed was pretty light, so I ordered this thinking that I would return it if it didn't work. To my surprise, it was beautiful. So nice that I would purchase for an adult as well. By the time the wedding & reception was over, it looked a little ragged, so I don't think know how durable this would be over time, but absolutely for an event. I would just make sure to allow time to exchange if the color is off as it's hard to tell from the computer.
