I would recommend getting either the patio or garden kit and use this for additional line as needed. **Q: Can this be connected to hose from house faucet?** A: This product was designed to be attached to a 1/2" distribution hose with individual metering connectors. The metering connectors are punched into holes made with a sharp spike. Once the metering device is inserted into the 1/2" hose, the water can then be directed to this 1/4" distribution tubing. This spreads the water over a wider area. The size of the metering device (i.e. 2 g/hr, 5 g/hr, etc) determines how many of the 1/4" weeping holes should be on that metering connection.
