I’m relatively new to free motion/ruler quilting. I’ve been sewing for decades and quilt piecing for about a year. Sewing free motion didn’t seem like it would be a big jump, but it was. I practiced on so many quilt sandwiches I could have made a loaf! My main issue was broken needle thread and skipped stitches. Then I saw a post about Isacord thread on the national Quilter’s circle FB page. The person posting the question was asking for brands of top stitching thread that people preferred. Isacord was mentioned several times. I decided to try the thread because of my main problems when quilting. So glad I did! I thought the problem was me...it was the tensile strength of my thread. I quilted several blocks today and no skipped stitches, broken needle threads, bird nesting...I didn’t see “Jack” at all today and if you free motion quilt you know how awful it is to “unstitch” quilting. BTW- I quilt on a domestic machine (Babylock Accord). I’ll be buying many more colors in the future. Thank you for my sanity!

I use embroidery thread in my business of making custom guitar and camera straps. I use several different brands for different reasons and effects, including Yenmet, Floriani, and Madeira. But the one I use the most by far is Isacord. I think the sheen and material used in making the threads is about as good as it gets. The 0010 color is a good all around white.
