Don't worry you don't have to hand crank it. **Q: Does it use Velcro sandpaper pads?** A: According to the description this sander uses sanding discs which attach with hook and loop, which I think is the same thing as Velcro. **Q: So this uses velcro to adhere the sand paper to the tool instead of a hook&loop system? if that's the case, is paper hard to find?** A: Hook & loop IS Velcro.
