I thought I had a faulty unit and have since ordered this product twice and it always ends up the same; at first I can get 2.5-3 hours maximum out of the battery, and after about 4-5 weeks of use I am lucky if I get even 120 minutes of music playback before it’s dead. By the end of 2 months it’s down to about 60 minutes at 90% volume before it shuts off. Yes I’ve tried resetting the battery as if it were an old school unit, and never let it drain entirely for the first 2 months, heck I even tried draining it entirely and doing a batter reset on it and it all makes zero difference. 60-90 minutes of battery on all 3 units after the first month. (Verified purchaser because, like I said, I bought 3 because I didn’t want to believe the product was as crappy as it really was.) **Q: will these work with ATH-M70x ?** A: They should work on the M70x. They both use a 45mm diaphragm, I assume the housings are the same. I have a pair of M70x's coming, I will update for sure. **Q: Does this require modifying the locking mechanism?** A: No modifications required.
