## Description

Magic Keyboard delivers a remarkably comfortable and precise typing experience. It’s also wireless and rechargeable, with an incredibly long-lasting internal battery that’ll power your keyboard for about a month or more between charges. It pairs automatically with your Mac, so you can get to work straightaway. And it includes a woven USB-C to Lightning Cable that lets you pair and charge by connecting to a USB-C port on your Mac.

Review: It’s a kind of magic! - There can be only one… proper keyboard for your Mac. Just unwrap it, plug to your Mac so it can pair automatically, and voila. You are ready to go and reign the World, the Instagram, Tik Tok and whatever is on top now! Is it the best Mac keyboard, then? Hmmm… I like previous design more. I think that whole idea - design and execution - is flawless, even against today’s standards (damn, how that sounds). Batteries compartment gives keyboard perfect steep, ideal for longer sessions of typing. It’s sleek but has this drop of heftiness in it, if there is such word. On the downside it was losing connection occasionally, not sure why. Yet this new one is also pretty cool. Slimmer and lighter, as it doesn’t need AA batteries - which added some weight - anymore. Downside is… that we will see how long this rechargeable battery lasts. You can always chuck in some new AA batteries while built in battery can’t be replaced. Still, it should have a few good years of life ahead of it. Let’s be honest, I will probably swap it at some point to one of these cool mechanical keyboards anyway… or not? Slim profile and lightness makes it worth considering as a travel keyboard. Why not? Just get it a nice sleeve/cover and pack together with your iPad. Oh wait… we will come back to this later… Keys size and layout differs somehow from the previous iteration, that can be frustrating at the beginning if you are used to write without looking at the keyboard. It will trick your muscle memory and you’ll find yourself hitting the wrong buttons or two/three of them at the same time. But you’ll get housed to it quickly. Also keystroke seems to be more shallow than the previous version. Is that an issue? Not for me. How does it work with Apple devices? Well that’s a silly question as it was made to do exactly that! You’ve got all the special keys and key combinations meant to make your life easier while using Apple stuff. So you think, yay, great… I could use it with my Mac, my iPad and an iPhone if needed! Yay… no. You can pair it with one device only and that’s that. Sounds like a joke while even cheapest bluetooth devices allow you to pair them with a three different machines at least. If you would like to share your keyboard between a few Apple machines then you’ll have to unpair/pair it every time. Silly. Also, no backlight. Personally I don’t really need this. Yet competitors offers that function even in much cheaper keyboards. Overall… is it the beautiful, state of art keyboard that makes every second you type on it an ecstasy? No. It is beautiful. Minimalistic, clean design. Combination of white plastic and aluminium is simple and pure, aesthetic heaven. This is what you expect of Apple, right? That’s why you pay more than you actually should. When it comes to typing… It is responsive , there is no visible delay while typing and that’s great. Apparently it is one of the quickest keyboards in the Apple market, wow. When it comes to comfort… It won’t offer you this long keystroke, it won’t give you that cool sound as mechanical keyboard does. It’s plain… somehow. There is nothing to complain about yet at the same time nothing to be excited about. What it is offering to you is a perfect medium between you and your Apple device. It won’t give you any special experience or feelings wile using it, that’s not the idea behind this product. It rather stays invisible. It looks great on your desk and is no obstacle in your workflow. You just use it and don’t even think about it. Isn’t it what Apple is meant to be? Focus on your workflow, not on the tools you are using to achieve your goals. These tools do their job without you thinking about this.
Review: it feels like a quality product - It's an Apple keyboard that looks the biz. Set up is super easy with no pffaffing about or mishaps if you're connecting to a Mac-mini like me, it has so many controls on the top row which make the whole experience more pleasant and convenient . It feels more robust than I expected. It just works great and I'm very glad I finally spent the extra few quid and bought something I actually feel is worth the money.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can I confirm if this is a genuine Apple product since one customer comment suggests it is not?**
A: Yes, as per Apple Support it is a genuine Apple product. I was told by Apple support that the serial number checker on the Apple site is only recognising "bigger" products like a phone or computer. Keyboards & co will come back with the error message. I have asked the Apple support team to make this clearer on the Apple site so to avoid buyers' confusion.

**Q: So… is this keyboard a genuine Apple product?**
A: Yes

**Q: Genuine or not?**
A: What they sell as genuine is real Apple made

**Q: How do you recharge keyboard pls?**
A: The keyboard comes with a USB-C to lightening wire: which is the same cable/connection to charge an iphone. Kind regards.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Genuine, fully functional Apple Magic Keyboard
*by A***R on 30 May 2022*

In response to some buyers saying this doesn't work properly, and is counterfeit because of a serial number check... ...can't speak for you all, but I've just bought this, connected it easily and without issue (as simple as turning it on) to a 2020 MacBook Air M1, and ALL THE KEYS WORK. It's taken a little bit of getting used to, because I've been using one of the earlier 2012 wireless keyboards for ten years, and the key travel is ever so slightly different. But after a few days of use, I'm noticing it's more comfortable, I'm able to type faster, and it's a good deal quieter than the earlier model. Time will tell whether the built-in battery lasts longer than the previous removable AAs.
