**Q: Can this item be returned?**
A: Only through Google which is a very difficult proposition.  I returned it several times and never received a working unit.  Do not purchase this item.

**Q: Does the sensor need to be wired?  Or is it wireless?**
A: The sensor is wirelessly paired with the thermostat during the set-up process.

**Q: I have a horribly placed thermostat right above a gas wall heater. Will this run off the sensor or still trip to cut off when gas heater is on?**
A: You can set it to run off either the sensor or the thermostat.  I have mine set to run off the thermostat most of the day and the sensor at night.

**Q: I want to use this to replace a thermostat for an AC only system, three wires available.  Is that doable without wiring changes?**
A: Nest has an web link that allows you to compare your wiring to what it needs to control your A/C. Try that before you buy
