I really did not know what to expect with this. My church just moved I to a building and I needed a "quick fix" for the pastor's mic. So, I ordered this microphone. I honestly did now know how it would sound. This performed well beyond expectations, and without background noise. I even sang through it just to see how it would handle the increased volume...no worries, as it sounded wonderful, I am thinking of buying one for myself as the music minister. The only con is that one must show the user how to wear it properly.
