Temps go below 65° and my skin goes crazy! I have a winter regiment that is time consuming and expensive. I switch from my usual BBW soap to BBW Spa cream soap. I also add coconut oil to it. Then, I use Olay In Shower lotion with coconut oil added to that, also! Then, I wash my hair and then condition it with more coconut oil added. Otherwise, my hair would be attracting farm animals to munch on. Then, after the shower I need to moisturize again. It takes forever! It's messy, it's annoying. There's about a 20 minute time difference of warm vs cold weather regiments. We installed the filter yesterday. I washed my hair and I can't stop touching it!! It's so soft, baby soft! That's impressive but nothing compared to my skin! Granted, it's only been the second day, and I've read it gets better each day, but no itching!! My skin is soft again! It's been the second day and my hair is still baby soft, I'm amazed, truly. Why I didn't buy one years ago, I dunno. I guess I didn't believe the gains would be so substantial. The true test will be in 10° weather vs 50° weather. But, even in 50° weather my skin and hair would be intolerable. Not now!The filter itself is larger than I had expected. Not a huge deal at all in our shower. We installed it from the arm to head, we couldn't install ours under the diverter and on the hose. It didn't allow the shower handle to rest in the holder. It says to install on the hose for a corded head, but is working just fine this way. I'll take a few snaps to let you see what I mean. Also, the filter itself had a leak at the opening. A layer of plumbers tape, which they included, no more leak. Again, not a huge deal. It is super easy to change the filter. Literally just unscrew the top and take the old one out and pop in the new one! The install took a few minutes, by hand. Oh, there's a replacement filter included. There's 2 of us and that said to change once a year. Family of 4 change 8/9 months. It has substantial heft to it, appears to be very well constructed. I took a photo of the filter next to a standard handsoap pump just to give a size comparison. Now I always wonder about the negative reviews and I tend to focus on why they would think the product is that bad. No I didn't expect it to be like a House that has soft water either Culligan water, by permanent Softwater unit. but it's a huge difference from water coming directly out of the tap. Now I got the fourth stage filter by Keepo. My thinking was by this unit for $24 bucks, then I'll buy the upgradable replacement filters that have more stages which should be the better ones right. Haven't done that yet haven't even fully used one filter yet. It looks promising because I have just the four stage filter in there right now and I've noticed a substantial difference in the water. I'm taking it that if I buy the eight gauge or they have a 10 stage I believe wow that should be mind blowing right we'll see. That all intention that they fit in the filter unit that I have. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Skin feels better and softer. *by D***H on Reviewed in the United States on March 24, 2017* I purchased this more because I needed a new shower head than for the filter capabilities that the shower head has because I honestly did not think there would be a difference in how my skin felt I just needed a new shower head. I live in an area where it is super dry in the winter and very humid in the summer time so I tend to use tons of lotion in the winter to keep my skin from flaking and itching during the day. I will say not only have a felt a difference in the moisture level in my skin but there has been a significant reduction in the amount of lotion I need after showering as well as reduced flaking and itching. I have not yet been using it long enough to change the filter and have not experienced any reduction in over all water pressure in the shower as other people have as the filter ages but the difference shows in my skin. I have a hand held shower hose and it was very easy to change out the shower head from my old one to this one and I did not need many tools or the need to hire a plumber to get the job done. The chrome finish is attractive to look and easy to keep clean and shiny.
