I was attempting to rivet my stick steering bracket back to my boat gunwale (aluminum). Over the years the manufacturer pop rivet work itself loose and pulled out. I thought the bolt ins would be a simple solution. The smaller rivets will not pull down enough to hold anything before stripping out. I had to cut the the rivet out with my angle grinder because bolt would not back out.
